Expatriates and Inmigrants
This two words could mean pretty much the same, they both refer to someone who's left his home country to work abroad, but expatriates refer to the one most of the time from the developed countries who chooses to work abroad in a good position to fulfill his expectations and follow his professional carreer; on the other hand the migrant tends to be seen as someone who's forced away from home by poverty and need. An expat is someone who's a choice, a migrant is someone who doesn't see any other way out of his condition. Europeans, Americans, Australians and Japanese abroad are most of the time referred to as expats, while Latinos, East Europeans, Arabs, Africans and Asians are consiedered migrants.
